“To survive the Killing Fields as a child and to come to America as a refugee 31 years ago has been a blessing to me. Coming from a country of starvation and destruction to a place of opportunities and abundances is every man's dream. So when the opportunity to be a part of a film that portrays that hope, I would not let it pass me by, even though I have no acting experience. There was part of me that screams ‘You are making a fool of yourself’, but there was also a part of me that calmly answers ‘Why not? What do you have to lose?’

Going through the process before and during the shooting with Asaph and the crew was very pleasant and inspiring. Pleasant by the fact that Asaph is gentle and understands how to work with someone who has no acting experience. I’m inspired by seeing the hard work and determination of everyone involved with the film. I am very honored and blessed to be a part of it.”
